மலையத் துவசன்மகள் மீனாட்சி யுமவன்பின் அரியணையில் ஏறி யமர்ந்து
நிலைநாட்ட தன்னரசை புவியாளும் பிறவரசை சமர்செய்து வென்ற பின்னர்
கைலையத் தையும்வெல்ல விரைகையில் ஈசனின் கண்பட்டு மார்பின் மூன்றாம்
முலைமறைய மாகேசன் மீனாட்சி கரம்பிடுத்து மதுரையில் மணம் புரிந் தான்
பாடற்பொருள் :
மன்னன் மலையத்வஜனுக்குப் பின்பு , தடாதகை அரியணையில் அமர்ந்து அனைத்து மன்னர்களையும் போரில் வென்றாள் . ,பின்பு கைலையத்தையும் வெல்ல எண்ணிப் படையுடன் சென்றாள் . அப்போது , சிவபெருமான் வெளியில் வந்து புன்னகையுடன் அவளை நோக்கிய நேரத்தில், அவளது மூன்றாம் முலை மறைந்தது. அவரே தன மணாளன் என்று அறிந்து நாணத்தால் தலை குனிந்த தடாதகை என்னும் மீனாட்சியை, சிவபெருமான் மதுரையில் மணந்தார்.
The story in English.
Thadaathagai succeeded her father Malayatthuvasan and ascended the throne after his demise. Immediately after that, she gathered an invincible army . Sitting on a horse driven chariot , she led her army which proceeded to conquer all the countries in this earth. Having accomplished this, she proceeded to conquer the Indralokam . This was achieved easily as on seeing her approach with her army, Indra ran away leaving his kingdom at the mercy of Thadaathagai. Her next target was Kailasam! When the army led by her reached the outskirts of Kailasam, the news was conveyed to Lord Siva. At his bidding, Nandi sent the assistants of the Lord to the battlefield but they were no match for the army of Thadaathagai and were defeated. Hearing the news a smiling Sivaperuman himself came to the battlefield. On seeing him, Thadaathagai was overcome with shyness and her third breast disappeared. Everone realised that she has found her match. Soon they were married in a grand ceremony at Madurai. The weeding was attended by all the Gods,celestial beings, the Kings and the saints.

மன்னன் மலையத்துவசன் மறைந்த பிறகு தடாதகைப் பிராட்டியார் அரியணையில் அமர்ந்தார். பெரும் படை ஒன்றைத்ட் திரட்டி, அதன் தலமைப் பொறுப்பேற்று, பூலோகத்தில் உள்ள அனைத்து ராஜ்ஜியங்களையும் வெற்றி கண்டார். அதன் பின் இந்திரலோகத்தின் மீது படையெடுத்துச் செல்கையில், இந்திரன் போரிடாமலே ஓடி ஒளிந்தான். அடுத்து கைலாசனத்தின் மீது படையெடுத்துச் சென்றால். அவரது சேனை கைலாய எல்லையை அடைந்ததும், நந்தி தேவர் அதை சிவபெருமானுக்குத் தெரிவித்தார். அவர் ஆணையின்படி, சிவகணங்கள் அடங்கிய படை போர்க்களம் புகுந்த்தது. ஆனால் தேவியின் படையை வெல்ல முடியாமல் தோல்வியுற்றது. இதன் பின் சிவபெருமானே போர்க்களத்திற்கு வருகையில், அவரது திருமுகத்தைக் கண்ட உடனேயே தடாகைப் பிராட்டியார் நாணத்தால் தலை குனிந்தார். அவரது மூன்றாம் முலை மறைந்தது! இது கண்டு, அனைவரும் தடாதகைப் பிராட்டியாருக்கு தகுந்த மணவாளன் சிவபெருமானே என்று அனைவரும் அறிந்தனர்! இருவருக்கும் திருமணம் மதுரை மாநகரில், கடவுளர்கள், தேவர்க, தவமுனிவர்கள், ஏனைய நாடு மன்னர்கள் இவர்கள் வருகையுடன் விமரிசையாக நடைபெற்றது.
